Originally from Hamilton, Carlie attended McMaster University before settling in Stratford in 2016. Inspired by the lives and work of artists like Georgia O'Keeffe, Tracey Emin, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Andy Warhol, and Maud Lewis, Carlie's art reflects a deep personal connection to her artistic journey. "Creating art is more than just putting paint on a canvas," she shares. "It demands vulnerability, dedication, resilience, and a profound self-awareness. These are skills I continually strive to cultivate."
